Role OverviewAs the full‑time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's “go‑to” in developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store. Your passion lies in training and coaching your team into great merchants delivering AEO brand visual standards every day. Through your leadership, your team always nails floor‑set execution, rocks merchandising and marketing brand standards, ensures the store is always “guest‑ready” through effective replenishment, and represents our company values by bringing your real self to work.
Responsibilities- Drive sales as a key Leader on Duty, maximizing Fitting Room and Sales floor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience.
- Analyze reporting and daily trends, make strategic business decisions, and develop short‑ and long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs.
- Coach your team to deliver an outstanding guest experience, ensuring the store is always representative of AEO Brand Standards and staying in tip‑top shape by leading day‑to‑day merchandising, sell‑through adjustments, and replenishment.
- Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values, hold accountability for customer service standards, especially on the Sales floor and in the Fitting Room.
- Recruit, hire, and develop strong talent, providing training and development to maintain high performance.
- Deliver ongoing performance feedback, coaching, team touch‑bases, development plans, and performance reviews. Celebrate team achievements and drive associate engagement.
- Execute and innovate daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards across the store, and keep Fitting Rooms guest‑ready and brand‑standard compliant.
- Maintain store safety, asset protection, and policy compliance, always doing the right thing.
- Love AE and Aerie products.
- Previous retail management experience leading teams.
- Strong multitasking, attention to detail, priority‑setting, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to lead and develop teams with a general understanding of employment law.
