Position Title: Weld Fitter
Location: Auburn Hills
Shifts Needed: Day or Night
Days | Monday
- Friday 6a-4:45p + Saturday 6a-12p
Nights | Monday
- Friday 4p-2:45a + Saturday 12p-6p

Character of PositionAs a Weld Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool.
Responsibilities- Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing
- Prep, lay out, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
- Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positions
- Fabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniques
- Perform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assembly
- Maintain the proper tooling to complete tasks
- Construct structural components from raw materials
- Ability to saw, miter, and fit fabrications
- Replace damaged or defective structural components as needed
- Certified in TIG and MIG welding
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Use of straightedge, combination square, and calipers
- Use of shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Proven experience working as a weld fitter
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required
