OneStream Finance Systems Director

Opportunity:
Director, Financial Systems (One Stream) – Auburn Hills

On behalf of our client,
Systems Accountants is recruiting a Director of Financial Systems to lead the One Stream platform and a dedicated team for a global organization headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI
.

This leadership role oversees the entire One Stream ecosystem and manages a team of three specialists. The Director will be responsible for the strategic roadmap, ensuring the platform evolves to meet the demands of a complex, global financial reporting environment.

• Location: Auburn Hills, MI.
• Onsite Requirement: 4 days per week.
• Leadership: Direct management of 2 Financial Systems professionals.

The Director of Financial Systems will act as the global owner of the One Stream platform. You will provide both strategic vision and technical mentorship to your team, ensuring that system architecture, data integrity, and reporting capabilities remain best-in-class.

Core Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of three, overseeing their daily workflows, technical growth, and project delivery.

  Design and execute the long-term One Stream strategy, prioritizing the rollout of Market Place solutions and system enhancements.
• Governance & Architecture: Own the global design of metadata, security, and workflow profiles to ensure consistency across all business units.
• Technical Oversight: Provide high-level guidance on complex  business rules and member formulas, serving as the final point of escalation for technical challenges.
• Executive Liaison: Partner with the CFO, Controller, and IT leadership to align the CPM platform with corporate financial goals.
• Process Optimization: Drive efficiencies in the global consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting processes through automated system solutions.

  Experience:
  
  Proven track record of managing technical teams within a Finance or IT department.
• One Stream Mastery: 8+ years in Financial Systems, with at least 4+ years of deep, hands‑on experience in One Stream configuration.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced understanding of  or C# and One Stream's relational blending capabilities.
• Financial Acumen: Strong background in global consolidations, multi-currency reporting, and internal controls/SOX compliance.
• Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between technical system requirements and executive-level financial reporting needs.
