Data Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Informatica ETL Developer III responsible for the detailed design, development, unit testing, and support of integration testing. The ideal candidate will ensure scalable, high-quality code while following secure development best practices. This role requires expertise in Informatica across BDM, Power Center, and IICS, along with experience in database management and ETL workflows.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and unit test ETL solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Perform thorough self-testing of code before release, ensuring high quality and reliability
• Support integration testing by working closely with QA teams when required
• Identify technical issues and collaborate with technical leads to resolve them
• Follow secure development best practices and implement design patterns
• Create and update system documentation, process flows, and data movement diagrams
• Cross-train team members to ensure full knowledge coverage within the team
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs
• Develop Informatica workflows to exchange data across Oracle, Salesforce, Data Lake, and other platforms
• Modify Perl scripts for job control and process flow management
• Collaborate with project teams and business users to support functional and performance testing
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned work within project schedules
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 7+ years of overall IT experience
• Strong experience with Informatica BDM, Power Center, and IICS (IDQ and ICRT experience is a plus)
• Expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, and Cloudera Data Lake
• Proficiency in designing ETL workflows and managing data exchange with multiple platforms
• Experience working with Unix and Windows environments
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, Word, Excel, and Access
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience in Agile, iterative, and waterfall methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
• Automotive OEM industry experience
• Knowledge of Axon and additional data governance tools
