Company Overview

Havenwyck Hospital (a UHS facility) is a Joint Commission accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in comprehensive behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Shift Leader assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the orientation experience and skill acquisition of RCS staff. Additional duties include direct patient care assignments and program facilitation.

  • Completes all duties of a Residential Care Specialist.
  • Identifies staff time, attendance, and performance problems and helps develop action plans.
  • Supervises RCS in identified tasks and ensures completion.
  • Reports RCS performance to Program Director.
  • Assists in orienting new RCS to program philosophy.
  • Conducts in services as directed by Program Director.
  • Maintains resident assignments under Director’s direction.
  • Completes and delivers performance evaluations and competency assessments.
  • Attends weekly treatment team conferences.
  • Maintains safe staffing standards.
  • Participates in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma required; must have 4 years experience in a child care institution.
  • Minimum two years of college education and 3 years experience in a child care institution, or Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience is preferred.
  • Preferred: 2 years experience in an inpatient psychiatric or residential treatment program.
  • Required:

    18 months experience in an RCS role or equivalent.
  • Preferred:
    Experience treating impulse disorder populations.
  • Required:

    valid motor vehicle operation report.
