Havenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Position Summary

The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the overall quality and fiscal management of the program and serves as the “Chief Administrator” for the MDHHS Child Caring Institution contract. The Director ensures compliance with regulations and payer contracts through planning, policies, procedures and monitoring.

Director, Residential Services duties include but are not limited to:
  • Maintains positive internal and external relationships with the hospital-based treatment team and external providers.
  • Coordinates the overall delivery of services and programming for residents, ensuring high quality of care and resident safety.
  • Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures and enforces all hospital policies as they apply to program staff.
  • Interviews, hires, and provides supervision and training to clinical, educational and administrative support staff.
  • Ensures the treatment program is trauma‑informed, therapeutic and meets best practice, regulatory and contractual guidelines.
  • Plans and executes work efficiently, allocating staff and resources to meet cost and quality standards.
  • Coordinates Performance Improvement monitors and activities for the residential services program.
  • Completes administrative and reporting duties as required as Chief Administrator for MDHHS CCI contract.
  • Ensures coordination of clinical information between the treatment team and the prescriber.

Qualifications
  • Licensed as an LMSW, LPC, or LP
  • Knowledge or expertise in psychological diagnosis and evaluation.
  • Writing skills sufficient to complete required reports, documentation, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in inpatient or residential psychiatric treatment programs.
  • Experience and/or certification in Trauma Informed Care interventions.
  • Able to articulate goals and objectives of the department.
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision.
  • Effective problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
  • Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to a wide range of patients.
