Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

Henniges Automotive has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Cost Estimation team. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing quotes and product costs for current and future business by developing and reviewing the business case and ensuring that it is a competitively and financially sound opportunity for the company to pursue.

• Responsible for analyzing customer requests for quotes (RFQ), ensuring that the information provided by Engineering, Program Management, Sales, and Manufacturing balances to meet the customer’s needs and the program’s profitability.
• Compile and analyze all financial factors to make viable financial and logistical recommendations to respond to customer requests for quotes (RFQ).
• Develop financial models based on current market price, plant location, plant capacity, and capability to meet the needs of the provided quote.
• Develop and analyze calculations for contribution margins, testing costs, and for amortizations of minimum purchases of raw materials and tooling.
• Generate multiple iterations of cost sheets and financial models for side-to-side comparisons of multiple and alternative material options, multiple equipment processing options, and multiple labor staffing scenarios across multiple plants and manufacturing locations.
• Collaborate with the customer business units to complete cost breakdowns and submit quote packages to the customer in a timely fashion.
• Create cost comparisons with surrogate parts.
• Assist the Executive team via the creation and analysis of manufacture vs. purchase business cases to guide them in making sound business decisions.
• Consult with design and process engineers to calculate cost estimates of materials, labor, processes and equipment utilization.
• Support Program Management with financial analysis of awarded programs for gateway reviews.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum:
  Knowledge and skills typically acquired through 5 plus years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting, cost estimation, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of materials, design, and manufacturing process is a plus.

• Working knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, practices, and challenges.
• Ability to apply project planning, implementation, and/or continuous improvement principles to affect tangible, positive outcomes.
• Proficiency in the following software applications:
  Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; sufficient to apply and/or support the application with minimal instructions or guidance; this level of proficiency is typically attainable through 3 plus years of substantive experience with the applications.
• Promotes an atmosphere conducive to the open exchange of new ideas and alternatives to orthodox approaches.
• Deals effectively with resistance; takes positive steps to avoid the recurrence of errors through constructive critique.
