Overview

As a Park Assistant Manager, you play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the park, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and efficient experience for visitors. Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing operational procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Park Assistant Managers are the contact between guests and Kids Empire, responsible for guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and addressing questions or comments while present at Kids Empire.

Must interact with families and children of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Attending to guests promptly, greeting them, and making them feel comfortable in the park environment.
  • Supervise employees to ensure they perform duties satisfactorily and achieve production goals.
  • Assist the Park Manager with training, development, and auditing.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among park staff.
  • Audit schedules and request approvals from the Park Manager.
  • Open and close the park using keys or a code.
  • Communicate guest or employee issues to the Park Manager.
  • Operate the check-in process by having guests sign liability waivers and collect guest information via iPad.
  • Operate the front cash counter, handle transactions, and provide exact change when needed; process payments by cash or card (credit/debit).
  • Verify billing transactions on the POS system.
  • Organize and stock the pantry area with drinks, snacks, chips, and ice cream; check inventory and reorder as needed from specified vendors.
  • Walk the floor to monitor for unsafe hazards and ensure compliance with park rules and guidelines.
  • Clean restrooms and sanitize park structures, tables, chairs, and playground equipment.
  • Schedule and coordinate family events and assist events to operate efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Able to work with children.
  • Operate an iPad and use basic digital tools.
  • Good communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Leadership and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment and prioritize guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
  • Ability to work independently; read and write in English.
Physical Demands
  • Stand, walk, bend, and twist frequently.
  • Frequent hand movements and good finger dexterity.
  • Work in noisy environments with children and music.
  • Ability to tolerate a hectic environment during peak hours and work in a structured setting at height.
