Project Manager - Robotics Industries
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to support programs that involve building data centers for Artificial Intelligence, as well as projects in the Pharmaceutical and Food industries. The role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from order placement to installation, with an emphasis on custom system solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure the targeted project margin and cash-flow.
+ Coordinate the timely closure of projects, including the completion of unresolved issues.
+ Obtain preliminary and final acceptance certificates and close all associated purchase orders and contracts.
+ Deliver product or system solutions to customers that meet defined specifications, schedule, and budget.
+ Complete order booking packages per compliance requirements and responsiveness targets.
+ Determine the best way to execute orders in alignment with operations strategy and customer requirements.
+ Collaborate with production, purchasing, planning, and other functions to meet customer requirements on scope and delivery.
+ Respond to sales and customer inquiries within 24 hours regarding order status and other inquiries.
+ Meet project financial targets and lead project reviews.
+ Lead the project team, define guidelines, allocate tasks, and motivate resources to accomplish tasks and milestones.
+ Provide performance feedback regarding allocated resources.
+ Define project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedules, and risk management plans.
+ Ensure the project follows execution best practices and policies.
+ Monitor and control project progress, financials, invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
+ Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks and ensure opportunities are pursued.
+ Capture, analyze, and share lessons learned throughout the project.
+ Ensure formal project closure and contract close-out.
+ Apply contract and claims management consistently.
+ Coordinate with Supply Chain Management for procurement and support supplier negotiations.
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of Project Management experience.
+ 5+ years of automation experience.
+ 5+ years experience managing the scope of projects.
+ Experience in problem-solving, automation, project management, robotics automation, and automation systems.
+
Experience with autonomy, robotics, IT infrastructure, SAP, and Excel pivot tables.
Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ 8 years of project management experience managing scopes of projects and customer relationships.
+ Experience working on automation system projects or complex engineering system projects involving automation.
+ Capability to work autonomously and solve complex problems.
+ Experience managing budgets, deliverable dates, and customer interaction.
+ Ability to handle high data volumes and adapt to changing circumstances.
+ Expert-level Excel experience with advanced formulas and dashboard creation.
+ Previous SAP and robotics background.
+ High School Diploma required.
Work Environment
This is a temp-to-perm position with core hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a flexible manager. The Project Manager will initially work onsite in Auburn Hills for the first 4-8 months, with potential travel to client sites afterward depending on program needs. The role involves working in the non-automotive group, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and supporting various junior project managers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $70.00/hr.
