Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Validation Engineer to support verification and validation of embedded software and vehicle functions across ICE, Hybrid, and Electrified vehicle platforms. The role focuses on HIL testing, real‑time simulation, and automation using NI HIL tools, supporting vehicle programs from early development through production release.

This position works closely with systems, software, calibration, and functional safety teams to ensure software robustness, regulatory compliance, and vehicle-level performance.

  • Design, develop, and execute HIL test cases based on Vehicle Function (VF), system, and software requirements
  • Translate VF and system requirements into traceable, automated HIL test scenarios
  • Build, configure, and maintain HIL test benches using: dSPACE (SCALEXIO, Control Desk, Automation Desk) and OPAL‑RT
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, diagnostics, and fault‑injection testing
  • Validate ECUs including: BMS, Inverters, Engine Controllers, Transmission Controllers, BCMs, and Power Generation Controllers
  • Support BEV, HEV, PHEV, REPB, and ICE vehicle architectures
  • Execute software flashing, update validation, and rollback testing
  • Analyze DTC behavior, fault responses, and system degradations
  • Support functional safety objectives (ISO 26262), emissions compliance, and drivability targets
  • Integrate plant and environment models using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow for closed‑loop validation
  • Execute automotive communication testing using CAN, LIN, and J1939 with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer)
  • Collaborate with development and calibration teams on root‑cause analysis and defect resolution
  • Maintain test artifacts including HIL test reports, Software Validation Reports (SVR), and release documentation
  • Support software release readiness and validation sign‑off
