Requirements

- Proficient in conducting Virtual Duty Cycle analyses
- Experienced in managing design changes and external interfaces
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly plant requirements
- Capability in driving audits and ensuring manufacturing robustness
- Leadership skills in readiness tasks and benchmarking
- Proficient in reviewing checklists and coordinating design variants
- Strong analytical skills with familiarity in regulatory document approvals
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with Design Verification Plans and Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in executing assigned programs
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop Application Matrix for product interfaces
- Ensure applications meet design specifications for driveline products
- Oversee packaging studies to confirm clearance requirements
- Negotiate product capabilities with vehicle platforms
- Own and communicate technical specifications for transmission products
- Define and monitor compliance with functional objectives
- Lead virtual analysis in collaboration with propulsion and durability teams
- Manage design changes requiring platform approval
- Address external design issues and oversee change management
- Review and approve Application Checklists for CN
- Coordinate specific design variations, including hardware and calibration
- Represent the organization concerning vehicle assembly requirements
- Drive auditing processes across supplier locations for compliance
- Lead tasks associated with build readiness and instrumentation
- Develop competitive product benchmarking plans
- Coordinate assessments of engineering bulletins and responses
- Manage documentation for regulatory submissions and approvals
- Update and synchronize approvals for manuals and compliance reports
