Responsibilities
The General Assembly Process Engineering Tooling Process Supervisor is responsible for supervising Salaried Bargaining Unit Tooling Engineers in the development of Process, Tooling for Trim, Chassis, and Final operations from vehicle design concept through in plant vehicle launch. Must have the ability to champion data driven decisions, manage complex projects from beginning to end and meet project budget and timing targets, and manage issues and drive root cause analysis, utilizing tools such as Fishbone diagrams, 5 why's, FMEAs, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Six Sigma, and Red X.
This position will drive design for manufacturing concepts throughout all projects big or small and will work to develop a solid team atmosphere empowering your direct reports to take ownership of their processes. Additionally, this manager would have the responsibility of categorizing and have oversite deployment the Stellantis North America General Assembly assets. The Manager must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Extensive travel may be required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience related to Automotive General Assembly process
- Project Management Experience
- Ability to manage focused digital scrolls and PFMEAs to ensure process robustness
- Facilitate 2D/3D layout with necessary components from process scroll and develop list of necessary purchase
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Teamcenter, AMPs, and MEDDS
- Ability to manage tooling implementation
- Budgeting experience
- Travel domestic and international required
- Self-motivated champion of change
- Ability to work overtime and travel as required
- Science Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Good understanding of (SPW) Stellantis Production Way methodologies/tools
