The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading and executing effective manufacturing engineering and build processes for designated product—from initial planning through final shipment. This role ensures product quality, project alignment, and successful cross‑functional collaboration throughout the build process.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain control plans, build plans, quality documentation, safety requirements, PPE specifications, and packaging/shipping plans in accordance with quality processes.
- Estimate labor, design, build, and engineering’s needs for projects.
- Coordinate and conduct manufacturing review meetings to maintain project schedules.
- Interface with purchasing regarding supplier/component selection and initiate purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate validation testing of product to design requirements.
- Manage customers supplied items to quality process and customer requirements.
- Address issues and lead problem‑solving activities using established quality processes.
- Function as a liaison between Project Managers, Engineers, Customers, Vendors, and Manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide ongoing updates to project teams and management on project status.
- Identify, propose, and justify tooling and equipment improvements that enhance quality and reduce manufacturing costs.
- Reliable, consistent attendance required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline, preferably in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum two years of industrial design and/or project management experience with robotics or industrial automation.
- Experience with ISO Quality Systems, Resource Planning Systems, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, work independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
