Duration: 1 year contract, ongoing, opportunity to be brought on direct and for promotion to manager
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Pay Rate: $43-48/hr
Travel: None, may need to go neighboring buildings
Must Haves- Bachelors or Associate’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline, with relevant work experience.
- Minimum two years of industrial design and/or project management experience with robotics or industrial automation.
- Experience with ISO Quality Systems, Resource Planning Systems, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, work independently, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading and executing effective manufacturing engineering and build processes for product retrofit—from initial planning through final shipment. This role ensures product quality, project alignment, and successful cross‑functional collaboration throughout the build process.
- Develop and maintain control plans, build plans, quality documentation, safety requirements, PPE specifications, and packaging/shipping plans in accordance with quality processes.
- Estimate labor, design, build, and engineering’s needs for projects.
- Coordinate and conduct manufacturing review meetings to maintain project schedules.
- Interface with purchasing regarding supplier/component selection and initiate purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate validation testing of product to design requirements.
- Maintain effective project leadership through clear communication, active listening, and building trust with team members.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
