Tasks- Plan and implement engineering programs, activities, and milestones to meet customer requirements.
- Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Control expenditures within the limits of the project budget.
- Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, including internal and external samples, design documents for internal release and customer.
- Coordinate and create deliverables for bid packages regarding engineering, including BOM creation, product sizing, fit and form evaluation.
- Assign and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing.
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinate activities concerning technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Responsible for the technical analysis of risks and errors (DFMEA), problems, and the impact of changes; prepare proposals and implement technical changes.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of changes and change control management.
- Implement and manage the DTM (Development Team Meeting) for change control management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of related experience with products in the automotive industry, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience with project management processes / PDP.
- Experience in product development.
- Strong product knowledge.
- Knowledge of engineering materials.
- Proficiency in tolerance stack optimization / GD/T.
- Experience with DFMEA creation and analysis.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Experience with BOM creation and development.
- Experience with engineering change management.
- Ability to relate cost to product design.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) / assembly process.
- Proficiency with necessary IT tools (SAP, IQRM).
- Excellent communication, networking, decision‑making, time‑management, self‑motivation, conflict resolution, problem solving, ability to influence, resilience/self‑confidence, and mentoring skills.
