This role sits within ABB s Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We re entering an exciting new chapter as we ve announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:
Director of Rebuild, CS Quality & Warranty.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

• Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality and timely implementation within the targeted cost.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured, staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.
• Develop solutions related to controls with multiple PLC brands.
• Coordinate controls resources during installs.
• Develop GUIs and HMIs.
• Mainly supporting Robotics paint and sealer installs.

• Bachelors  Degree, preferably in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, or related field).
• You are highly skilled in and you enjoy working with highly technical projects in the robotics paint and sealer industry.
• You have 12+ years of experience in controls engineering, automation, robotics, preferably supporting complex projects.
• Previous experience developing solutions in multiple PLC brands.
• You are qualified in / Highly adept in leading a diverse group of technical leads, including remote resources.
• You are innovative around delivering exceptionally executed projects on time and on budget.
