Overview
The Electrical VPE Salaried Bargaining Union Engineer is responsible for:
- Developing manufacturing processes by designing electrical test equipment, modifying equipment or test software for Stellantis assembly plants.
- Designing electrical testing methods for testing finished products and system capabilities.
- Install and verify industrial tooling from various tooling suppliers.
- Diagnosing vehicle assembly, vehicle module software and tooling to root cause issues.
- Work with vendors to define electrical systems and write specifications to suppliers to procure equipment and tooling for implementation during new vehicle launches.
- Conduct in-vehicle assembly including timelines, procurement, design and specification, and implementation.
- Schedule, plan, monitor, and report key performance indicators and activities.
- Work with multiple departments to complete projects and/or tasks.
- Manage multiple tasks and stay on track.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; or in another related discipline or 7 or more years of experience developing and implementing electrical systems.
- Ability to work overtime and travel as required (Domestic US).
- Self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills - both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint.
- Excellent to advanced level in Excel.
- Must possess the ability to be flexible in work assignments.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Experience in electrical systems (Rolls, ADAS, Electrical Testing Equipment).
- New model vehicle launch experience.
