Overview

- Account Manager (GM Business Unit) focuses on fostering strong customer relationships (CRM) with medium- to long-term planning and direct sales of various products, services, and/or solutions across multiple lines of business to a defined portfolio of existing clients.
- Develop medium-to-long-range sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers and manage cross-sell, up-sell, and repeat sales opportunities.
- Resolve problems and ensure customers receive high-quality service; develop client retention and growth plans for profitable business with assigned accounts.
- Essential Functions:
- Responsible for ensuring high-level customer satisfaction using CRM techniques and supporting customer scorecard.
- Quote new business and design changes (DCR) and coordinate fulfillment of customer requirements with Engineering.
- Prepare presentation materials for RFI/RFP processes, and answer RFQs while determining pricing and lead times for each order.
- Review, prepare, and achieve the budget; validate contracts against quoted terms and ensure established customer contracts and NDAs are in place.
- Manage and support existing customers by meeting all quoting requests, completing part and tooling pricing evaluations, and supporting meetings involving engineering changes and open items.
- Manage pre-production orders from the customer and order parts from the manufacturing facility to meet customer requirements.
- Support and participate in Product Planning Meeting (PPM) and Product Design Team (PDT) weekly meetings led by the Project Lead; lead discussions related to costs, prototype orders, and preproduction orders.
- Provide Sales and Account Management support in recurring operations meetings; conduct research for new business opportunities; and be responsible for customer collection activities.
- For non-automotive customers, provide on-site program management services as the primary communication channel, handling all aspects of program management to ensure completion of each project, reporting requirements, and deadlines by coordinating with internal departments and monitoring each task until completion.
- Provide support toward certification and ensure compliance with the customer’s required quality management systems (TISAX, TS16949, IATF, etc.).
- Positions that fall under Product Development, Legal, HR, IT, and Executive Management require a higher level of confidentiality and discretion in handling information.
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.
- Implement customer-specific sales forecasting activities.
- Perform Sales and Account Manager tasks as defined by the assigned market or customer group.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience required
- Applicable sales application engineering and program management experience required
- Prior GM Account Manager Experience Required (3-5 Years).
- LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required
- Valid passport preferred.
