Senior Accountant

* Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
* Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and manage general ledger operations.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Monitor PHINIA internal controls and recommend improvements to accounting procedures.
* Assist with tax compliance and liaise with internal and external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
* Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on high-risk and non-standard journal entries.
* Assist in preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries regarding significant estimates and assumptions.
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, One Stream).
* Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
