As a key member of the Accounting team, the manager will be responsible for supervising staff accountants, preparing journal entries, reviewing monthly financial information, and reporting results. The manager will also be responsible for ensuring adequate internal controls, including end user computer applications controls, are designed and effectively implemented. The manager will also assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and comparisons to actual results.
RequiredEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
- Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral
- Highly competent in the use of the MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)
- Experience with data analysis tools is an asset
- Understanding of internal control concepts
- Self-confidence, critical thinking, ability to influence, ability to work independently and willingness to work extended hours (if necessary)
- High level of time management and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
