Kings View is a nonprofit leader in providing behavioral health services to the underserved community, is currently seeking an Education Program Administrator to join our mission to provide compassionate services to those with limited resources. The Education Program Administrator provides leadership and operational oversight for the Day Services Education Program to facilitate effective partnership with Merced College in collaboration with the other IDD Services Administrators. This role is responsible for directing the educational components of the program, training and directing staff to facilitate students goal achievement, and ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. The Education Program Administrator serves as the Teacher of Record for the contracts with Merced College and interfaces with college personnel, students, families, and community partners to ensure high-quality educational experiences for participants.
This role does not supervise staff but provides direction and guidance to program staff regarding educational instruction, curriculum development, implementation and adaptation, and monitoring student progress.
How will I contribute- Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight for the Day Services program to fulfill the contract with Merced College, ensuring program goals and outcomes are met.
- Serve as Teacher of Record for Merced College, including meeting and maintaining all eligibility requirements.
- Coordinate and direct staff to deliver educational instruction and support to students, ensuring curriculum and learning objectives are met.
- Interface with Merced College personnel to maintain program alignment, communication, and compliance with college requirements.
- Maintain program compliance with relevant state and federal regulations, including Department of Developmental Services (Regional Centers) Title 17 and Community Care Licensing Title 22, OSHA standards, and other contract and licensing requirements.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment for participants and staff.
- Direct and support student admissions, attendance tracking, and education support plans as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting, including education records, progress reports, incident reports, and licensing forms.
- Conduct regular classroom and program observations to assess educational delivery, participant progress, and program quality.
- Collaborate with leadership on program planning, quality improvement, and operational strategies.
- Serve as liaison with families, healthcare providers, community partners, and regulatory agencies to support student success.
- Support outreach and orientation activities, including tours and informational sessions for prospective participants and referral sources.
- Maintain ongoing professional development, certifications, and training required for educational administration and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Leadership to support program success and organizational goals.
- Bachelors degree:
Education, Special education or related field. - Drivers License:
Class C - Certification: CPR, First Aid Certification, Administrator Certification
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in education, case management, program administration, instructional leadership, or related roles.
- Experience supporting participants with diverse needs in a structured educational environment is required.
- Experience working with adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must possess a valid Administrator's License if administering a licensed facility or program.
- According to Title 22 Regulation 80064, must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must also possess valid adult first aid, and adult CPR certifications, and have the ability to perform emergency first aid as needed.
- Must have a Department of Justice criminal clearance (fingerprint screening) and be able to maintain and complete the required hours of continuing education each year to maintain certifications and meet the requirements of Title 17 and 22 as applicable.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum development, and student support planning.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations and licensing requirements, including Title 17 and Title 22, is preferred.
- Understanding of educational programming in partnership with community colleges or similar institutions is also preferred.
- Must meet eligibility requirements to serve as Teacher of Record for Merced College.
