Watch Engineer; 2nd Class Fireman

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, various shifts in boiler room

Operates and maintains steam boilers, auxiliaries, and chiller plant equipment. Represents the Facilities department on nights, weekends, and holidays as first contact regarding facilities.

This position has no set shift in the boiler plant. He/she will serve as coverage for vacations. During periods of no coverage the position will work day shift with other trades as needed.

• 2 plus years of experience in a high pressure boiler room preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds, climb a ladder
• Massachusetts Second Class Fireman License

• Massachusetts First Class Fireman License or higher

• None required

• Massachusetts Second Class Fireman License is required

Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas.

Salary Range: $25.16-$38.42
