The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care based on the nursing process within assigned work periods. They function as a member of a multidisciplinary team to achieve outcomes consistent with the comprehensive plan of care. The RN participates in activities to achieve clinical, financial and organizational outcomes.

• Knowledge of nursing process, social, behavioral and biological sciences normally acquired via approved nursing program.
• Provide age and culturally specific care to the population served.
• Analyze data, synthesize and summarize information, and make judgements regarding patient care.

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing (BSN strongly preferred).
• MA RN license and BLS required (some departments require ACLS or PALS).
• Related experience and qualifications may be required for specialty areas.
