Debbie's Staffing is now recruiting for a Machine Operator for our client located in Attleboro, MA
Location:
Attleboro, MA
Schedule:
7:00 am-3:30 pm, Monday to Friday (may include weekends as needed)
Pay: $18+/hr
Summary:
Debbie's Staffing is recruiting machine operators to join our client in Attleboro, MA. Operators will work with precision machinery to produce high-quality parts for our customers. This role involves operating and maintaining single-feature and complex inspection machines, potentially running multiple machines simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate within team settings to measure and improve performance metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Participate in Level 3 activities, including scrap reduction projects and kaizen events.
- Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and customer specifications to produce parts.
- Machine parts, perform inspections, and adjust machinery to maintain tolerances and finishes.
- Meet quality standards while achieving production targets.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Complete production reports accurately, both manually and electronically.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, defective materials, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
- Participate in training programs and assist in training new associates.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without accommodations for disabilities.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and data entry.
- Strong reasoning ability to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot standard problems.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform manual tasks.
- Vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, and color vision.
- Flexibility to work 10-hour shifts and occasional weekends as required by customer demands.
- Minimum 1 year of work or volunteer experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to work productively under indirect supervision and follow verbal and written instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of up to 6 weeks of on-the-job training.
- Certification or training in forklift operation or overhead crane operation as required.
