Overview

Are you the Assistant Residential Director we have been looking for? In this position, you will convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our clients.

Journey Home is an intensive Group Home setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma‑informed care. Journey Home provides 24‑hour comprehensive care including a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Schedule: 2nd Shift

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

Training and Responsibilities
  • Assist in oversight of the Residential Department with the Residential Director and provide care and treatment of our students.
  • Assist in ensuring all Residential systems are being followed and completed on a daily basis and provide on‑call coverage.
  • Provide constant oversight of scheduling procedures; staffing ratios are being met at all times and provide accountability and disciplinary action decisions as needed for all Residential Staff.
  • Lead residential meetings and trainings, and run residential shifts when needed.

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Experience in a residential or mental health setting is required.
  • Experience at the supervisory or management level in a residential setting is required.
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license as transporting clients is required.
  • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
  • At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de‑escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our clients.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
