The successful Grinder candidate will be able to operate hand‑held grinders and produce precise finishes on materials. Attention to detail and safety is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate hand‑held grinders.
- Monitor operations and inspect finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow supervision directions on tasks at hand.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience as a Grinder or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in an outdoor shipyard with exposure to extreme heat/cold at times.
