Job Function / Summary
The Loan Process Manager position is responsible for directing all phases of consumer non‑real estate and commercial loan process and boarding functions. Ensuring process activities comply with government regulations and internal policies and procedures delivering timely, accurate, and compliant loan fulfillment. Collaborate closely with the Loan Operations Director identifying and executing strategic initiatives that will position the bank for continued growth.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Manage, provide on‑going coaching, and evaluation of loan processing and post‑close staff to meet quality/volume targets—monitor key performance indicators and provide regular feedback to senior management.
- Oversee day‑to‑day loan process and loan boarding activities to ensure accurate and timely processing, funding, servicing, and portfolio maintenance; managing lending pipeline to ensure timely and accurate processing and funding of loan applications.
- Develop, implement & refine workflows/SOPs through collaboration with Underwriting, IT, Compliance/Risk and other key team members across the bank to optimize workflows, reduce operational redundancy and improve bank's delivery of loan products/services.
- Oversee adherence to federal & state laws, as well as internal compliance requirements ensuring staff members are knowledgeable in these areas.
- Investigate/resolve escalations, audit exceptions, and lender/borrower inquiries; implement corrective actions and modify processes when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Provides guidance and oversight to and is responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the assigned team. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management; employee compensation; approving expense reports; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
