Position OverviewThe Senior Accountant plays a key role in delivering outsourced accounting and advisory services to small and mid-sized business clients. This individual will manage client relationships, provide strategic financial insight, and support tax preparation activities.
Core ResponsibilitiesOutsourced Accounting & Advisory
- Serve in a controller-level capacity for multiple small business clients
- Utilize cloud-based accounting platforms to manage financial reporting and operations
- Support clients using Quick Books Online and related technologies
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships
- Provide budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning support
- Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Offer ongoing financial insight tailored to each client’s industry and goals
Tax Services
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals and business entities
Client & Relationship Development
- Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills
- Build and maintain productive relationships with client personnel
- Contribute to business development efforts and referral cultivation
- Communicate proactively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Engage in professional networking and community involvement
- Uphold high ethical and professional standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license or eligibility preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in public and/or private accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required; additional tools preferred)
- Strong technology aptitude; experience in a paperless environment preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
