Travel Registered Nurse - Obstetrics/Med Surg- (Nights)
Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlantic, IA .
Assignment:
- Night - every third weekend
- Start Date:
5/25/2026 - Contract:
13 weeks - EMR Used: EPIC
- Location:
Atlantic, IA 50022
OB includes labor & delivery, postpartum, and recovery. These nurses are expected to float to the med-surg floor when there are no obstetric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the health care team using evidence-based practice, demonstrating accountability and respect for patients, families, and coworkers, while providing safe, optimal patient outcomes.
- Promotes continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate.
- Directs support staff in the provision of care. Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.
- Able to work with the age-specific populations according to the setting.
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
- Pay package details provided upon offer
- Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred.
- Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as an RN. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after their hire date.
- Current ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications. (New employees should obtain per the guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy.)
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- High degree of empathetic listening skills, tact, and kindness toward others.
- Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Technical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Compliance/Screening (Pre-Start):
- Drug screen and background check (facility required)
- Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
