- Assignment Type: Travel Contract — Travel Nurse / RN
- Unit: Obstetrics (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Recovery) with float to Med/Surg
- Start Date: March 16, 2026
- End Date: June 15, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights; every third weekend (night shift travel nurse)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2360 - $2480 (competitive travel nursing pay)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or Compact Nurse Licensure (compact state RN)
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Med/Surg, Obstetrics, or related acute care
- BLS required (American Heart Association preferred)
- Comfortable floating between Obstetrics (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Recovery) and Med/Surg units
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Previous travel nurse experience or flexibility to adapt to varying patient populations is a plus
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in the Obstetrics unit (labor, delivery, postpartum, recovery)
- Float to the Med/Surg floor when obstetric patient volume is low and deliver comprehensive nursing care
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond rapidly to changes and emergencies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, recovery, discharge planning, and health promotion
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols
