Registered Nurse – Harmony Acute Care​/Cardiac​/Respiratory

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence–based, culturally competent care. The RN oversees care coordination, maintains nursing documentation, and ensures consistency with the medical treatment plan across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

• Implement the nursing care process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Document patient assessment, plan, interventions, and evaluation.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and maintain continuity with the medical treatment plan.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and provide leadership to care team members.
• Maintain professional and personal growth through ongoing education and skill development.

• BSN preferred; RN license in New Jersey or multi‑state license required.
• BLS required; ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Valid NJ driver’s license required for all adult and child partial programs.
• Minimum 2 years medical/surgical experience preferred; critical care, telemetry, and ICU experience preferred for specialty units.
• Certifications:
  
  PALS, ENPC, CCN, CCGRN, CCRN, and specialty certifications as applicable.

• Emergency Department – 2 years medical/surgical or ER experience preferred. Minimum of 8 contact hours of education annually in trauma assessment and prevention; PALS or ENPC required within 12 months.
• Trauma Bay – 2 years trauma experience preferred; ACLS, PALS, and ATCN required.
• ICU/CTICU – 2 years medical/surgical experience preferred. CCRN preferred; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Cardiovascular ICU – 2 years critical care experience preferred; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Telemetry – 2 years telemetry experience preferred; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Extended Care, Oncology, and Specialty units – 2 years specialty experience preferred; ACLS and specialty certifications required as indicated.

Demonstrate department‑specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and physical injury. Physical requirements include frequent lifting (25–50 lb) and pushing/pulling heavy equipment.

• Bariatric – morbid obese adults with comorbid conditions.
• Cath Lab – cardiac/vascular conditions.
• Critical Care – acute medical/surgical and intensive care.
• Behavioral Health – bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, psychosis.
• Endoscopy – chronic pain management and endoscopic procedures.
• Emergency Department – triage and acute care for all body systems.
• Intermediate Care – post‑surgical and monitored care.
• Medical/Surgical – standard diagnostics across systems.
• Telemetry – cardiac, neuro, GI, and stroke conditions.
• Wound Care – ostomy and pressure sore management.
• Structural Heart – adults with structural heart disease.

This position reports to the patient care unit or department leadership.
