Location:
Atlantic City, NJ - Southeastern New Jersey Academic leadership role overseeing Gastroenterology division development, clinical care, education, and research.
Position Overview:
Southeastern New Jersey's largest health system and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, is seeking a visionary Chief of Gastroenterology to design, build, and lead a cutting-edge GI program aligned with its Vision 2030 transformation strategy. Setting:
Inpatient and outpatient GI care within a high-impact academic division Call:
Manageable 1:4 rotation, supported by hospitalists and APPs EMR:
Epic Responsibilities:
Develop and expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures. Lead faculty recruitment, training, and mentorship of fellows, hospitalists, and APPs. Collaborate with Drexel University and The Cleveland Clinic to strengthen cancer care integration. Maintain consistent endoscopic block time and manage robust referral volumes. Serve as a hands-on clinical leader while shaping academic and research priorities. Foster equitable access to GI services across Atlantic, Ocean, and Cape May counties.
Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active New Jersey medical license (or willingness to obtain) Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or willingness to obtain before start) Minimum:
Experienced gastroenterologist (no new grads considered) Leadership experience (Chief or Medical Director role, or starting up a program) preferred Malpractice history disclosure required (history accepted with limitations) Proof of COVID and Flu vaccination compliance Compensation & Benefits:
