Warehouse Lead – Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Lead manages and coordinates 2nd Shift operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing. Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 – 10:00 pm.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Assists Warehouse Supervisor with training of new employees.
  • Schedules and oversees warehouse staff on the designated shift.
  • Ensures all positions are staffed and work is assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
  • Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
  • Prints, assigns, and schedules picker tickets.
  • Assists with daily tasks where needed from the team.
  • Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
  • Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.
  • Correctly assigns location for WH inventory material in the Inventory Management System.
  • Schedules materials being transferred to and from warehouse; coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
  • Monitors expenditures and implements corrective actions if needed.
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Resolves routine equipment issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Develops/updates/rootstock BOMs in Rootstock.
  • Completes Rootstock daily movements.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software systems.
Education & Experience
  • At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing.
  • At least one year of forklift experience.
  • Supervisor/manager experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
