We are seeking candidates for a Fleet Manager role. The Fleet Manager is responsible for establishing and monitoring processes that ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, and ensuring fleet administration, such as registrations, inspections, and insurance is completed within required timelines.
Primary Duties:- Establish company polices that ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Monitor GPS system and build reports to encourage safe driving behavior.
- Monitor company CSA scores and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all company records are accurate and current (Driver Qualification Files, Medical Cards, Etc.).
- Establish and monitor monthly safety training.
- Review ELDs, and/or driver time sheets for accuracy and compliance.
- Review DVIRs for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct periodic audits of drivers and vehicles to ensure compliance and safety.
- Review and modify company policies and procedures related to driving and delivery safety.
- Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Evaluate fleet assets to ensure proper maintenance and care.
- Maintain current fleet administration filings such as: IFTA, IRP, BOC-3, and UCR.
- Provide recommendations for selection of company assets such as truck and trailer combinations and vehicle specifications.
- Maintain accurate database of all company fleet assets.
- Maintain and monitor toll pass subscriptions.
- Verify monthly fuel, maintenance, and lease invoices for accuracy.
- Propose strategies to lower overall fleet operating costs and improve profitability
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel with multiple overnight stays via airplane, car, or other appropriate means of transportation for business-related purposes. This includes but may not be limited to facility and field visits, vendor visits, continued education, and other business-related activities.

Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience in fleet management including FMCSA compliance
- Thorough understanding of, and ability to interpret, FMCSA regulations
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to DOT Rules and Regulations, and ability to work in a constant state of alertness
- Must be trainable, team player and willing to develop their career
- Commitment to professional development
Regular Scheduled Workdays, Monday through Friday. Overtime as needed. This is an onsite position.
