We’re looking for a detail-oriented Export Agent to join a growing freight forwarder in Atlanta. This role is responsible for managing both ocean and air export shipments from booking through final documentation, ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely global transportation.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate FCL/LCL ocean shipments and air freight exports from origin to destination
- Book cargo with ocean carriers and airlines
- Prepare and process export documentation (B/Ls, AWBs, AES filings, commercial invoices, etc.)
- Communicate with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and trucking partners
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or documentation issues
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and TSA/IATA requirements
- 2+ years of export experience (ocean and/or air) in freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and carrier booking processes
- Familiarity with AES, Incoterms, and international trade regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
