Job

Drive state-owned vans providing safe and efficient transportation for the GT community to various drop-off locations on and off campus. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including passengers with disabilities. Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Refuel vehicles, drop off and pick up vehicles for maintenance work, and make timely reports of accidents and incidents.

• Drive state-owned vans and fleet vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for the GT community to various drop-off locations on and off campus.
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle, including passengers with disabilities.
• Utilize transit technology, follow GPS directions, and log ridership details.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, refuel vehicles, drop off and transport vehicle to/from maintenance shop.
• Make timely accident and incident reports.
• Perform courier duties and work with special events as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.

  Required Qualifications:
  
  Must have and maintain a State of Georgia Class C or CDL driver’s license.
• Physical and Mobility Abilities: Stepping up into and out of a vehicle multiple times in an hour; lift up to 25 lbs; open, close, or pull shut a vehicle door or sliding door; assist a passenger in a wheelchair or crutches getting into and out of a vehicle; provide assistance harnessing a wheelchair.
• Required Experience: Two years of job-related experience.

Effective customer service skills. Operating a large passenger van with an exterior vehicle height of up to 9.25 ft, length up to 22 ft, and width up to 7 ft (excluding mirrors).

Pay Range: $16.80/hr – $21.12/hr (Salary commensurate with experience and education)

Shift: Sunday – Thursday 7:30pm – 4am
