As a CDL driver, you are the key link between operations and the drop yard. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe operation while on the public roads in and around the McDonough area. You will oversee auditing the yard inventory, while maintaining and managing the material handling equipment, while watching over the yard operations, you will also ensure that Health & Safety protocols are followed at all times.

• The scheduled jobs are completed on time and correctly.
• Products are loaded, unloaded, and stored in a timely manner in line with customer performance standards.
• Equipment is maintained in good order.
• Equipment is tracked via the yard management system.

• Maintain a safe driving record
• Responsible for the proper execution of the logistics activities and the supervision of the off-site yard.
• Manage our yard inventory.
• Audit and verify that empty and loaded trailers are in the correct spots.
• Conduct trailer movements to and from the dock to the drop yard.
• Conduct yard inspections daily.
• Maintain cleanliness of the yard
• Optimize efficiency in yard movements.

• Manage fuel levels of refer units in the yard.
• Coordinate filling of refer units if necessary.
• Promote safety.
• Integrate with office personnel to administrate yard tracking and movements.
• Manage material handling equipment properly through processes to be created by this position.
• Yard spotter truck

• Control of product flow for the yard management system.
• Implement remedial actions to maintain the flow of product.
• Autonomous action to prevent accidents.
• Act in line with agreed procedures for ensuring quality of product.is always maintained in line with customer requirements. (Temperature, damages etc).

• Daily feedback from Manager
• Quarterly one on one meeting with Manager
• Annual Performance review.

• High School Degree
• CDL-A License

Minimum of 3 years of over the road experience driving tractor trailers and yard hostler.
