The Freight Trade Specialist supports Interra's global operations by managing freight transactions efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance. This role works closely with Commercial, Operations, and carriers to ensure seamless movement of goods, optimize freight spend, and maintain strong partnerships that drive service reliability.

• Coordinate global freight activity and serve as the main contact for shipment status.
• Review trade terms, secure capacity, and evaluate carrier performance.
• Resolve freight issues and claims with minimal cost impact.
• Partner with internal teams to align delivery timelines and manage exceptions.
• Analyze rates, vendor performance, and freight data to identify improvements.

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years in logistics, ocean freight, or import/export operations.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel (Power BI a plus).
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS
  , FMC/DOT/NHTSA requirements, and international shipping.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative team player.
