Overview
Since 1984, Brock Built Homes has been a premier local Atlanta Developer. Brock-Civil, a division of Brock Built, is seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Low-Boy Driver to support the Site Development team. This role involves transporting heavy construction equipment and materials to and from various job sites using a lowboy trailer. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy haul vehicles, strong safety awareness, and the ability to adapt to changing project demands.

Responsibilities- Follow all company policies and procedures for safe working practices and environment
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies
- Load and unload equipment or materials
- Operate trucks and related equipment with thorough knowledge of their operation
- Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required
- Keep the truck in a clean and orderly condition
- Maintain a safe work environment for self and co-workers
- Maintain constant eye contact and use hand signals or other movements when backing with co-workers
- Follow OSHA regulations and company policies for safe procedures
- Adhere to safety requirements outlined in the Safety Handbook
- Follow daily task directions from the manager for each project or jobsite
- Perform general labor duties when necessary; and
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Trucking school diploma or high school diploma
- Unrestricted Class A CDL with a good driving record
- At least 2 years of experience hauling heavy equipment or oversized loads
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safe loading practices
- Proficiency in securing and loading various equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.)
- Ability to perform daily pre/post trip inspections and maintain documentation
- Strong situational awareness and communication using hand signals or radios
- Positive, cooperative attitude and professional conduct with supervisors, coworkers, customers, vendors, and the public
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Flexible schedule (40-55 hours weekly); evenings and weekends may be required
- Willingness to travel and work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Must pass pre-employment and DOT drug screen
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and around moving equipment
- Willingness to perform general labor duties as needed
- Ability to provide proper documentation showing legal right to work in the United States
- OSHA 30 safety certification is a plus
- Previous experience on residential or civil construction sites
- Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
- Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work around moving parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals
- Ability to perform strenuous work in varying temperatures and conditions
