The Operations Supervisor is responsible for primary planning, organizing, coordinating, and communicating operational functions in station/Focus City operations, and serves as the liaison to critical operational departments, both internally and externally, who support the consistent delivery of safe and on‑time performance.
Essential Functions- Communicate all operational information to SOC, flight crews, ground crews, line maintenance, emergency response, and contract services via ground, ACARS, and ARINC radios
- Coordinate and communicate gate assignments, aircraft towing/movements/parking, and aircraft swaps
- Perform daily audits of flight paperwork
- Plan and communicate cargo and baggage movement and loading to Load Masters and ramp teams
- Communicate passenger capacity or aircraft seating restrictions to Customer Service Agents and station management
- Ensure compliance with FAA, CBP, TSA, USDA, and local airport regulations, communicate concerns to local station management
- Transmit timely and accurate flight information and status to all stakeholders
- Update baggage and cargo load statistics via SOWeb and other operations platforms
- Monitor weather and plan disruption plans, communicate to stakeholders
- Complete daily reporting of delay codes and explanations
- Compile and distribute flight paperwork to Load Masters as needed
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all departments internally and with external contractors
- Monitor Load Master performance and report concerns
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
- Field all incoming phone calls
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and communicate them to management
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass a comprehensive 10‑year background check
- Proficient in PC and MS Office (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Prodigiq, Aerobahn, Gate Manager, and related systems
- 3–5 years of airline experience
- 1–2 years of airport operations experience
Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of ramp, load planning, aircraft movement, and customer service policies
- Ability to read and understand weather reports, flight releases, and flight plans
- Basic math, reading, writing, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with airline/airport operations
- Prioritization of multiple tasks in a stressful environment
- Effective, calm, professional communication
