Join to apply for the Head Tennis Pro role at Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and certified Head Tennis Professional/Coach to expand and assist our tennis program. This is a 25+ hours/week role for an individual who will work with players of all skill levels, ages 3 through adult, delivering group classes, private lessons, and seasonal clinics. The ideal candidate brings a growth mindset, an engaging personality, and a passion for fostering community through sport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide private and semi‑private lessons for all ages and skill levels.
  • Create innovative and inclusive tennis initiatives that attract new participants and retain current members.
  • Organize seasonal programs, clinics, and special tennis events.
  • Develop age‑appropriate curricula and lesson plans aligned with skill development goals.
  • Design, implement, and lead high‑quality tennis programs for children (ages 3+), teens, and adults.
  • Promote tennis programs within the organization and to the wider community.
  • Ensure all activities promote sportsmanship, positive reinforcement, and personal growth.
  • Maintain tennis courts, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Assist and co‑direct tennis camp over the course of a 10‑week summer for children ages 5‑12.
Qualifications
  • RSPA Certified Tennis Professional (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years coaching experience with both youth and adults.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit, community center, camp, or similar environment is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population and create an inclusive environment.
  • Passionate about youth development, recreation, and building community.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Energetic, approachable, and team‑oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of Jewish values and culture is a plus but not required.
