Pay Rate Range
: $55 – 75/hr w2
We are seeking a motivated Middleware / Integration Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for an early-career professional with hands‑on API development and systems integration experience who is eager to expand their technical depth in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
In this role, you will help connect internal platforms with external partners and third‑party services, ensuring seamless and secure data flow across a modern ecosystem.
What You’ll Be Doing- Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs
- Build and manage integrations between internal systems and external partners
- Implement data mapping and transformation logic across multiple integration scenarios
- Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver reliable solutions
- Monitor integration health and troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues
- Provide Level 2 support for integration-related incidents
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including API specs and troubleshooting guides
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
- ~5 years of hands‑on experience in API development and integration
- Strong proficiency in Java (experience with Python or Node.js is a plus)
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with API management platforms such as Apigee, Mule Soft, or AWS API Gateway
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience working with Spring Boot
- Exposure to cloud environments, preferably AWS (EKS, EC2, Elasti Cache, etc.)
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, Rabbit
MQ, or SQS - Familiarity with Postman and Swagger
- Basic SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
- Experience using Git for version control
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys)
- Basic Dev Ops exposure (Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
- Some experience integrating with Salesforce
