Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA
. This role focuses on mainframe application development, with deep COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2 expertise as a critical qualification for success.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2.
- Analyze legacy application code, document existing functionality, and support modernization or enhancement efforts.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and optimize JCL batch jobs and resolve mainframe application issues efficiently.
- Support integration between enterprise applications and mainframe systems, ensuring smooth data and process flow.
- Develop SQL Server–related components and assist with database‑driven application needs.
- Participate in requirement analysis, provide technical solutions, and ensure delivery of reliable, scalable software components.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of overall experience in mainframe application development, including at least 8 years in COBOL, CICS, JCL, and DB2.
- Strong hands‑on experience analyzing legacy mainframe application code, developing COBOL programs, and triaging JCL batch jobs.
- Proven ability to design and implement high‑quality mainframe solutions while handling integration challenges with enterprise applications.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
