API Developer

We are seeking an experienced API Developer to design, develop, and maintain APIs that support web and mobile applications.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure API solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.

This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Architects to define non-functional requirements.
• Triage and resolve technical issues escalated from development teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to explore and evaluate technical solutions.
• Participate in requirement gathering sessions and represent technical concerns.
• Define and document specifications for APIs and SOAP services.
• Write production-quality code using standard integration and API patterns.
• Contribute to quality assurance through unit, functional, and non-functional testing.
• Test features and functionalities of new tools and frameworks.
• Work closely with multiple teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Conduct code reviews and implement improvements to enhance functionality.
• Document APIs effectively for internal and external use.
• Stay updated on API development trends and emerging technologies.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in API development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs.
• Strong collaboration skills with frontend and backend developers.
• Expertise in API security and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience in continuous integration/delivery environments.
• Exposure to Stratus Mainframe and Unix environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project implementation.

• Experience in testing and evaluating new tools/frameworks for integration.
