As a Fin Ops Python Developer, you will play a pivotal role in Delta’s Fin Ops team, driving automation and data solutions to optimize cloud spend and foster a cost‑conscious engineering culture. You will leverage your expertise in Python and database management to design, build, and maintain Fin Ops automation tools, data pipelines, and reporting systems.

• Design, develop, and maintain Fin Ops automation solutions using Python, including scripts, workflows, and integrations with cloud cost management platforms.
• Build and manage databases to support Fin Ops data analysis, including schema design, data ingestion, and transformation.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Create and present technical documentation, training materials, and educational content for Fin Ops best practices and automation tools.
• Provide technical leadership on Fin Ops automation projects, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Implement data lifecycle management strategies in AWS S3, leveraging automation to reduce storage costs and maintain data accessibility.
• Integrate and automate data flows between AWS, Azure, and internal systems using Python, Lambda, and serverless technologies.

• 5+ years of experience as a Python developer, with a focus on automation, data engineering, or Fin Ops‑related projects.
• 2+ years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies, including cost management and optimization.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining databases, with proven ability to write complex SQL queries and perform data modification.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and API integrations.
• Experience with AWS tools such as Cost Explorer, Cost Optimization Hub, and Compute Optimizer.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

• Familiarity with third‑party cloud cost optimization tools.
• Experience with Fin Ops automation frameworks and best practices.
