Quality Analyst; Testing

Job Description

• The Quality Analyst will be responsible for validating Java-based applications across distributed platforms by creating and executing comprehensive test plans, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the full software development life cycle through structured testing and documentation.

• Analyze business requirements and develop detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform testing activities for Java programs on distributed platforms.
• Execute test program changes, update test files, run tests, and review results to ensure correctness of program changes.
• Validate data using Postgres and DB2 through queries and data verification.
• Use Jira to manage and track testing activities.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development life cycle.
• Organize and manage testing activities while providing clear guidance to teams to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders with transparency and accountability to achieve testing goals.

• Strong experience testing Java applications.
• Proven experience with Postgres and DB2 databases.
• Hands-on experience using Jira.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle including test case writing, execution, integration testing, and deployment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug software.

• Minimum of five years of experience in testing Java programs.

• Strong analytical skills for validating data, correcting errors, and creating data analysis and summary reports.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive program-level and user-level documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to obtain user sign-off prior to production releases.
• Ability to follow organizational guidelines for source control and migration processes.
• Commitment to improving software efficiency and reducing operating time.

• Java programming knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kofax.

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
