Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Golang Developer with experience building high‑performing, scalable enterprise applications. Our engineers are passionate about high‑quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients to quickly deliver valuable software, embracing agile practices and continuous improvement.

Atlanta, Georgia

Lead Golang Developer with 10+ years overall experience and at least 7 years using Golang to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems. You will create efficient system architectures using Golang and MySQL, containerize applications with Docker, and deploy solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will also engage in API design and microservices development to build robust, flexible systems.

You must be legally authorized babu work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Cognizant will not sponsor H‑1B or other U.S. work authorization for this role.

• Golang:
  Proficiency in Go to develop efficient, scalable backend services.
• MySQL:
  Experience designing, managing, and optimizing relational databases to support data‑intensive applications.
• System Design and Architecture:
  Ability to architect complex systems with scalability, reliability, and performance in mind.
• Docker:
  Expertise in containerizing applications to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS):
  Hands‑on experience with AWS for deploying, managing, and scaling cloud‑based applications.
• API Design & Microservices Architecture:
  Strong background in designing robust APIs and developing modular microservices for flexible system integration.

• HIPAA, PII, and PCI DSS Standards:
  Understanding of regulatory requirements for protecting sensitive data in healthcare and finance.

  Experience with tools and practices for automating infrastructure provisioning and management, such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
