Lead Software Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite in Atlanta / Vinings area)

An early‑stage company building a first‑of‑its‑kind AI‑driven financial insights platform is seeking a Lead Engineer to own technical execution and help define the future of the product and engineering organization.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has already proven they can build exceptional systems in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments. You will lead by doing—writing and reviewing production code, making critical architectural decisions, and guiding a small but growing engineering team. You will be responsible for embedding AI deeply and thoughtfully into the product, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with real business outcomes.

• Design, build, and oversee LLM‑powered features, including:
• Prompt design, iteration, and evaluation in production
• LLM orchestration and system boundaries
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) where appropriate
• Latency optimization, cost control, and graceful failure handling
• Ensure AI features are reliable, observable, and understandable by the broader team
• Use modern AI‑assisted coding tools responsibly while maintaining architectural integrity

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience owning technical execution for a product or leading a small engineering team
• Strong systems thinking across frontend, backend, data, and AI‑enabled features
• Hands‑on experience with modern React and Type Script stacks
• Experience shipping production applications using serverless architectures
• Demonstrated experience integrating LLMs into real‑world products, including:
• Designing and maintaining production prompts
• Building or operating RAG‑style systems
• Managing LLM cost, latency, and reliability
• Comfort making decisions in ambiguous, early‑stage environments
