Engineering Supervisor – Customer Ag & Trade (MSP or ATL)
Join Cargill as an Engineering Supervisor – Customer Ag & Trade (MSP or ATL). This role focuses on leading a software engineering team responsible for developing and delivering software projects that meet quality standards and deadlines.
Job Purpose and ImpactThe DTD Engineering Supervisor sets goals and objectives for operational results. This job oversees the software engineering team to deliver against product planning and prioritization, coordinating with cross‑functional teams and allocating resources effectively.
Key Accountabilities- Product Management – coordinate with product managers for planning, implementation, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
- Technical Guidance – lead and guide the team to design and develop high‑quality software solutions by writing clean, maintainable and efficient code such as small prototypes, utilities, tools and proposals, and by advancing the team's capability.
- Quality Assurance – review to ensure the quality and performance of software applications through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best‑in‑class industry standards.
- Process Improvement – coordinate continuous improvement initiatives and lead the implementation of approved standards to improve software development and deployment processes and operational excellence.
- Collaboration – coordinate collaboration with product managers, designers and other cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, set priorities, and deliver resolutions to meet business objectives.
- Documentation – lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
- Technical Support – lead technical support and troubleshooting for deployed applications for minimal downtime and fast resolution of issues.
- Team Management – manage team members to achieve the organization's goals, allocating resources, ensuring productivity, communicating performance expectations, creating goal alignment, giving and seeking feedback, providing coaching, measuring progress and holding people accountable, supporting employee development, recognizing achievement and lessons learned, and developing enabling conditions for talent to thrive in an inclusive team culture.
- Lead AI‑Assisted Development – ensure the team uses AI tools effectively, responsibly, and consistently to improve software quality and delivery.
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
The expected salary for this position is $105,000–$160,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including location, certifications, education, and level of experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award.
