Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a UI/Front-End Developer to join the team of a large insurance client. Day-to-day, 80% of the role will be focused on building out the frontend aspects of their application and roughly 20% building CMS content. This developer will be responsible for crafting high-performance, responsive web applications using modern technologies such as Next.js, React, and Type Script. They will be implementing advanced rendering strategies including server-side rendering, static site generation, and incremental static regeneration to optimize performance and scalability.

Day-to-day, this role involves designing and building reusable UI components and scalable design systems using tools like Tailwind CSS, Styled Components, or CSS Modules. The developer will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to bring wireframes and prototypes to life, ensuring seamless and engaging user experiences. They will integrate with various API, through RESTful, and work with headless CMS platforms such as Optimizely.

Their responsibilities also include writing unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright as well as hands-on coding and documenting of front-end architecture and best practices. Ultimately, the UI/Front-End developer will help maintain consistent visual and functional standards across platforms and participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• 5+ years of experience developing front-end applications using React.js
• 5+ years of proven experience working with Next.js in live production settings
• Highly proficient in JavaScript and Type Script, along with HTML5 and CSS3/SASS
• Well-versed in creating responsive, mobile-first designs that are compatible across different browsers
• Experienced in integrating APIs, including REST, and managing application state effectively
• Background with testing tools and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, and Playwright
• Knowledgeable about with CI/CD workflows, Git, and Agile practices
• Self-motivated and great communication and collaboration skills - Experience with CMS or Commerce tools, ideally Optimizely CMS/Commerce
• Optimizely certification
• Knowledgeable about Angular
